J Taran Diamond is a metalsmith and craft educator based in Athens, Georgia, Where they study and teach at the University of Georgia as an MFA candidate. Though Diamond’s work addresses a variety of themes and concerns, their overarching studio practice is characterized by an interest in the ways objects function in relation to the body and the broader cultures in which they exist. Diamond’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including exhibitions at New York City Jewelry Week, Munich Jewelry Week, and the Czong Institute of Contemporary Art in Gimpo, South Korea.
